Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ged Nelson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Huey Meadowcroft received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Rick Elam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alastair Norfolk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ged Nelson went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Bishops Castle's Daryl Nash got a free kick in the 11th minute. Ged Nelson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Norfolk having to interfere. Lond-Catford's Phil Langford got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Huey Meadowcroft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rick Elam having to interfere. If Huey Meadowcroft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alastair Norfolk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ged Nelson in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brett Ferdinand got free with Rick Elam in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Lond-Catford's zone, Huey Meadowcroft stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rick Elam came out of the goal and Huey Meadowcroft tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Bishops Castle's Huey Meadowcroft dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 37 played minutes Lond-Catford got a freekick which was hit by Piers Burns. After 38 played minutes, Bishops Castle's Loyd Smart shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rick Elam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bishops Castle reached it. Rick Elam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huey Meadowcroft in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Bishops Castle booed when Lond-Catford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lee Dixon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brett Ferdinand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Huey Meadowcroft made a kick off. Ged Nelson hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Alastair Norfolk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ged Nelson in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Jack Rowling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loyd Smart took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rick Elam. Lond-Catford's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rick Elam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huey Meadowcroft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rick Elam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brett Ferdinand in the 62nd minute of play. Alastair Norfolk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ged Nelson in the 64th minute of play. Phil Langford in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alastair Norfolk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sean Nash's late challenge caught a Lond-Catford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sean Nash helped the player get up and apologised. Alastair Norfolk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ged Nelson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Leon Edworthy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lond-Catford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bishops Castle the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lond-Catford fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Bishops Castle. Loyd Smart stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rick Elam. 3-1. Lond-Catford's Rick Elam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brett Ferdinand in the 88th minute of play. After 93rd play minutes Huey Meadowcroft shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Rick Elam and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bishops Castle fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lond-Catford had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
