Andrew Batty hit a great ball. In the 24th minute of the match Brabusss got a corner. Co Durham FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kristian Sutcliffe ran over to the corner to take the kick. Geoff Impey struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Stuart Brookes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brabusss. Andre Neville hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Stuart Brookes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stephen Mimms in the 29th minute of the match. Martyn Bullard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stuart Brookes having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Co Durham FC's goalkeeper Stuart Brookes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Geoff Impey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martyn Bullard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geoff Quinn in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stuart Brookes saved Co Durham FC from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stephen Mimms to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Carlton Davies left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Co Durham FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Johnathan Shaw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlton Davies, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Stephen Mimms came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Brabusss fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Mimms couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Green in the 63rd minute of play forced Brabusss's goalkeeper Johnathan Shaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brabusss's Johnathan Shaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archie Hassell in the 65th minute of play. Johnathan Shaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Green in the 67th minute of play. Geoff Quinn might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stuart Brookes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geoff Quinn ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 73 minutes, Stephen Mimms managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brabusss's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stephen Mimms was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Martyn Bullard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Geoff Quinn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Batty in the 83rd minute of play forced Brabusss's goalkeeper Johnathan Shaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Archie Hassell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnathan Shaw having to make a save. Stephen Mimms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stuart Brookes having to interfere.
