An unexpectedly hard shot by Huey Meadowcroft in the 17th minute of play forced Ryde Warriors's goalkeeper Lucas Hold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 18 in the game by Brett Ferdinand from a close distance when the talented Lucas Hold managed to make a qualified save. Ryde Warriors's players were relieved. Lucas Hold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huey Meadowcroft in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Rory Maylett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alastair Norfolk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wayne Denham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rory Maylett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Norfolk having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Wayne Denham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ryde Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wayne Denham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Brett Ferdinand could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Lucas Hold however easily saved by the left post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Huey Meadowcroft to strike the kick off in the second half. Brett Ferdinand scored 1-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Hold, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucas Hold showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brett Ferdinand, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Lucas Hold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brett Ferdinand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bishops Castle booed when Ryde Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Horsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Wayne Denham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rory Maylett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
