Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stephen Mimms kicked off to start the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Lovedean's Sam Warner slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Johnathan Shaw. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Geoff Impey's late challenge caught a Lovedean's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geoff Impey helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lovedean booed when Brabusss was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geoff Impey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Crooks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vernon Hall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Vernon Hall came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Brabusss's Geoff Impey. But to his dismay, Geoff Impey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Brabusss's Stephen Mimms in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lovedean's goalie prevented a goal. In the 23rd match minute, Lovedean was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wes Cheswick to maneuver through the defense. Vernon Hall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoff Quinn in the 26th minute of the match. Vernon Hall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephen Mimms in the 28th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Brabusss got a freekick which was hit by Geoff Impey. 36 minutes into the match, Sam Warner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnathan Shaw. Brabusss's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sam Warner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Phil Newland took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnathan Shaw. Johnathan Shaw dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Sam Warner fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lovedean's protests and gave Sam Warner a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Sam Warner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geoff Quinn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Geoff Quinn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lovedean's Vernon Hall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Lovedean from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute of the match Lovedean got a corner. Brabusss's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bryan Bryden ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Lovedean's Sam Warner in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brabusss's goalie prevented a goal. Ron Lilley struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Johnathan Shaw didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lovedean. Sam Warner succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. 86 minutes into the game, Phil Newland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lovedean's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brabusss the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lovedean's Phil Newland got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ron Lilley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lovedean walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
