Charlie Bennett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Blackburn Olympic getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Verne Walsh hit a great ball. In the 13th minute of the match Danny Canning sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Neville skillfully saved the ball. In the 21st match minute, F.c. Talent! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant Child to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Blackburn Olympic's Lee Birchall tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. John-Paul Allwright's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Mason read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Charlie Bennett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Marcus Neville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that John-Paul Allwright's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ian Mason was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, John-Paul Allwright managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackburn Olympic's supporters rose to their feet, but John-Paul Allwright was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Mason breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Tristram McNiven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Mason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes, Charlie Golding mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.c. Talent! and the Blackburn Olympic players grew even worse after the yellow card. Charlie Golding hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Blackburn Olympic's Marcus Neville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Crispin Bird in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Silvester Bull hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John-Paul Allwright stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John-Paul Allwright received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ian Mason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charlie Bennett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Neville having to interfere. With a little luck, F.c. Talent!'s Ian Mason got control of the ball when Tristram McNiven tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tristram McNiven got free with Ian Mason in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charlie Bennett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marcus Neville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of F.c. Talent! booed when Blackburn Olympic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harvey Davis didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charlie Bennett in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Neville saved Blackburn Olympic from getting behind. After a rather tough play, F.c. Talent!'s Andre Proctor got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ian Mason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John-Paul Allwright in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Crispin Bird ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Neville was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Andre Proctor struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Marcus Neville didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.c. Talent!. In the 96th minute Crispin Bird shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Neville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
