Dale Ackroyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Farrow in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Cheltenham getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kristopher Clough hit a great ball. Cheltenham's Dale Ackroyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Farrow in the 6th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zaq Whitehead in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dale Ackroyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Cheltenham's Rod Cusack got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ozzy Laurie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Warburton in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Cheltenham's Wayne Bonds ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ozzy Laurie. Ozzy Laurie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Cheltenham's Dale Ackroyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaq Whitehead in the 26th minute of play. Dale Ackroyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Farrow in the 31st minute of play. Zaq Whitehead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dale Ackroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dale Ackroyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Farrow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dennis Farrow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dale Ackroyd was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the match, Zaq Whitehead notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cheltenham's Dale Ackroyd. Dale Ackroyd was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Cheltenham's Wayne Bonds got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 55 played minutes Cheltenham got a freekick which was hit by Wayne Bonds. If Dennis Farrow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Paul Warburton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dale Ackroyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaq Whitehead, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaq Whitehead in the 71st minute of play forced Cheltenham's goalkeeper Dale Ackroyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match Taverham got a corner. Cheltenham's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Will Farrow ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 75th minute Zaq Whitehead shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dale Ackroyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Dale Ackroyd managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Taverham's Dennis Farrow fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Christian Constable fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taverham's protests and gave Christian Constable a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Taverham getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Christian Constable hit a great ball. Wayne Bonds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ozzy Laurie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Peter Worrall came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Cheltenham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Worrall couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute Wayne Bonds shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ozzy Laurie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dale Ackroyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaq Whitehead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Rod Cusack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zaq Whitehead's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dale Ackroyd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
