Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Verne Brennan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute, Cliff Paley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pete Longden was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Cliff Paley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Verne Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Stocksbridge FC's zone, Grant Daly stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jude Sykes came out of the goal and Grant Daly tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bredon FC's goalkeeper Pete Longden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bredon FC's Pete Longden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cliff Paley in the 29th minute of play. Gaz Draper kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verne Brennan in the 37th minute of play forced Bredon FC's goalkeeper Pete Longden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cliff Paley struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Pete Longden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stocksbridge FC. After a rather tough play, Stocksbridge FC's Robin Potterton got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Verne Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Stocksbridge FC's Cliff Paley in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bredon FC's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Stocksbridge FC's Cliff Paley was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Pete Longden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cliff Paley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cliff Paley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pete Longden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cliff Paley in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th match minute, Bredon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicky Shakespeare to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Stocksbridge FC's Guy Rider tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 78 minutes, Gaz Draper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stocksbridge FC and the Bredon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Stocksbridge FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaz Draper to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Stocksbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calum Bartram came free, but Jude Sykes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bredon FC's Pete Longden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Bredon FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Stocksbridge FC's Cliff Paley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pete Longden. That made the score 0-4 after 92 minutes of play. Cliff Paley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Bredon FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stocksbridge FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
