Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Huey Bloom kicked off to start the match. After 6 played minutes Flushing FC got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Crabtree. Harvey Bartram's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Bill Medlin - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 7th minute. The corner ended in Rex Cullen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bredon FC's Pete Longden did a great save. Pete Longden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huey Bloom in the 14th minute of play. When Alan Noble came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Flushing FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Noble couldn't finish the play. After 17 minutes, Nicky Shakespeare mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bredon FC and the Flushing FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicky Shakespeare hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Flushing FC's Rex Cullen tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pete Longden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huey Bloom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Huey Bloom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bredon FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Huey Bloom scored to the left of an out of position Pete Longden, making the score, 1-1. Huey Bloom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Longden having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

After 66 played minutes Bredon FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicky Shakespeare. In the 67th minute of the match Rex Cullen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pete Longden showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 68 played minutes Bredon FC got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Nicholson. 69 minutes into the game, Flushing FC's Huey Bloom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pete Longden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. If Calum Bartram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grant Daly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bill Medlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Calum Bartram got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Bredon FC's Joshua Nicholson got a free kick in the 89th minute. Huey Bloom struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Pete Longden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flushing FC. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flushing FC's goalkeeper Bill Medlin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
