Ossett United's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyrone Simpson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John-Paul Gunn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Dave Way notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tottenham Hotspurs's John-Paul Gunn. John-Paul Gunn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. John-Paul Gunn came out of the goal and Tyrone Simpson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Tottenham Hotspurs getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Fraser Warne hit a great ball. John-Paul Gunn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tyrone Simpson's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Tyrone Simpson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lewis Bartram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. John-Paul Gunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liam Tully recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pete Bridgewater was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Ossett United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence Hamilton to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Munday showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Starr in the 54th minute of the match. Benjamin Munday took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fraser Warne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ossett United's Lewis Bradbury managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tyrone Delaney in the 57 minute of the game. 63 minutes into the game, Tyrone Simpson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. John-Paul Gunn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. John-Paul Gunn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tyrone Simpson in the 67th minute. Tyrone Simpsons short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got John-Paul Gunn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Tottenham Hotspurs fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ossett United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
