In the 9thth minute of the game Stuart Pearce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hectic Gaming Academy's Carl King was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th match minute, FC Leamington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lloyd Alcock to maneuver through the defense. Den Wellings struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Dave Plumber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hectic Gaming Academy. The supporters of FC Leamington booed when Hectic Gaming Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Bayliff didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Stuart Pearce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl King was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 48th minute, Damion Gould hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daryl Reynolds was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Den Wellings made the kick off in the second half. Dean Ward could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Carl King made a huge save. Stuart Pearce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl King having to interfere. In the 56th minute, one of Hectic Gaming Academy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hectic Gaming Academy. Daryl Reynolds shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After 58 played minutes Hectic Gaming Academy got a freekick which was hit by Jay Driver. With his leg Carl King managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when FC Leamington's Dean Ward fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stuart Pearce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Carl King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
