Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ryan Hislop made the kick off and thus started the match. Albert Workman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gerry Whittington fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nunthorpe AFC's protests and gave Gerry Whittington a yellow card for diving instead. 8 minutes into the match, Albert Workman notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nunthorpe AFC's Kirk Cambridge. Kirk Cambridge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Nunthorpe AFC's Francis Delaney got a free kick in the 13th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Nunthorpe AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Hislop came free, but Kirk Cambridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ryan Hislop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Nunthorpe AFC booed when Horfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Russ Lagdon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nunthorpe AFC's Kirk Cambridge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Workman in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Ryan Hislop left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Kirk Cambridge came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Horfield's Ryan Hislop. But to his dismay, Ryan Hislop quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half Horfield were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steven Barr to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, William Carter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horfield and the Nunthorpe AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Horfield got a freekick which was hit by William Carter. Greg Pickering thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Cliff Blower, a very annoying self made goal in the 54th minute which led to 1-3. 58 minutes into the match, William Carter had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kirk Cambridge. Nunthorpe AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Carter was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, William Carter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horfield's supporters rose to their feet, but William Carter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirk Cambridge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Nunthorpe AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Tristan Denham hit a great ball. Alec Buckler charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alec Buckler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alec Buckler kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When Albert Workman fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horfield's protests and gave Albert Workman a yellow card for diving instead. Albert Workman hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the match, Ryan Hislop had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kirk Cambridge. Nunthorpe AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ryan Hislop was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. When the match was over Horfield could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nunthorpe AFC throughout the match.
