Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Stockport Rockers's Niall Broadhurst started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Kennington's Barry Bryden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niall Broadhurst in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes FC Kennington got a freekick which was hit by Austen Pool. In the 10th match minute, FC Kennington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Backhouse to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Allan Sheridan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Kennington's Barry Bryden didn't even have to move. Adam Akins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Barry Bryden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Felix Gamble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kennington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Gamble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 minutes, Jimmy Holden made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Stockport Rockers's Mickey Sparkes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, FC Kennington's Barry Bryden got control of the ball when Adam Akins tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Gamble in the 24th minute of play forced Stockport Rockers's goalkeeper Mickey Sparkes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Stockport Rockers's Graeme Gamble got a free kick in the 27th minute. Mickey Sparkes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Holden in the 28th minute of the match. Damion Easton kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Stockport Rockers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pete Courtney to maneuver through the defense. Mickey Sparkes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Gamble in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Gamble was the one to do the kick off. Austen Pool's late challenge caught a Stockport Rockers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Austen Pool helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Kennington's Austen Pool got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Pete Courtney took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Barry Bryden. FC Kennington's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Adam Akins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Bryden having to interfere. Jimmy Holden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 81 played minutes Felix Gamble rounded Stockport Rockers's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Mickey Sparkes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Gamble in the 86th minute of the match. Barry Bryden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Akins's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Adam Akins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Barry Bryden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Kennington had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
