In the 9th minute, Philip Gale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Barry Bryden was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Bryan Unsworth fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BCMY's protests and gave Bryan Unsworth a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to BCMY getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bryan Unsworth hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Felix Gamble managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kennington's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Gamble was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Carlick breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Steven Robson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barry Bryden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Philip Gale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Kennington getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Austen Pool hit a great ball. FC Kennington's Barry Bryden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Moore in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Gamble in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danny Carlick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When BCMY's Steven Robson in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Kennington's goalie prevented a goal. Barry Bryden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhys Moore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rhys Moore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barry Bryden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rhys Moore's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Rhys Moore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barry Bryden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhys Moore in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Rhys Moore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BCMY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rhys Moore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Gamble stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Felix Gamble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Gale hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Kennington's goalkeeper Barry Bryden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, BCMY's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Holden came free, but Danny Carlick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barry Bryden made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Steven Robson sent off a good shot on target. Frank Allanson's late challenge caught a BCMY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Allanson helped the player get up and apologised. Danny Carlick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Holden in the 64th minute of the match. FC Kennington's Barry Bryden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Moore in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, BCMY's Rhys Moore dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Barry Bryden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reuben Bridgewater in the 76th minute. Barry Bryden was a little too slow when Rhys Moore got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-3. BCMY's Steven Robson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rhys Moore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Bryden having to interfere. BCMY's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
