Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tod Lowe got the match started through his kick off. Brian Hurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Deeney in the 4th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Deeney during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes Knapton City got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Deeney. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Nial Stevens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Psycho Squad's supporters rose to their feet, but Nial Stevens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Cornish breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tod Lowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexander Deeney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nial Stevens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simon Cornish read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Psycho Squad getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Denny Clayton hit a great ball. Alexander Deeney struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Brian Hurst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knapton City. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Nial Stevens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Psycho Squad's supporters rose to their feet, but Nial Stevens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Cornish breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nial Stevens came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Psycho Squad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nial Stevens couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience was convinced that Tod Lowe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Cornish was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Brian Hurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Deeney in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Keanu Branston ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brian Hurst was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Simon Cornish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Lowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Nial Stevens might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simon Cornish. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nial Stevens ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Knapton City's goalkeeper Simon Cornish, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Psycho Squad's Brian Hurst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keanu Branston in the 68th minute of play. Alexander Deeney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Hurst having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Psycho Squad got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Dibb. Keanu Branston hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Nial Stevens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nial Stevens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knapton City's Keanu Branston got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Keanu Branston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Hurst having to interfere. When Tod Lowe came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Psycho Squad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tod Lowe couldn't finish the play. If Nial Stevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
