Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Warren Allott took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ashley Singleton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spike Clough, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. If Spike Clough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Spike Clough in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ashley Singleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jake Dowrick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thirsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Jake Dowrick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ashley Singleton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddy Milligan during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eddy Milligan hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Allott in the 17th minute of play forced Kilburn, Westbourne Park's goalkeeper Ashley Singleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Spike Clough left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thirsk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 24th minute, Warren Allott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Bartlett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Warren Allott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ashley Singleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kilburn, Westbourne Park's Richard Barber got a free kick in the 30th minute. Warren Allott, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ed Crouch during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Ed Crouch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Thirsk's Spike Clough in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kilburn, Westbourne Park's goalie prevented a goal. Danny Winterburn hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Kilburn, Westbourne Park's Alex Bartlett got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Bartlett to make the kick off. With his leg Ashley Singleton managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Thirsk's Spike Clough fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 54 minutes into the match, Kilburn, Westbourne Park's Kenny Speight sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Den Watson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Warren Allott's late challenge caught a Kilburn, Westbourne Park's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Warren Allott helped the player get up and apologised. Dominic Frost who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Ashley Singleton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the game, Alex Bartlett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kilburn, Westbourne Park's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thirsk the free kick. Spike Clough let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 70th minute shot 0-3 at rihgt post. Warren Allott came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ashley Singleton could save by the left post. Ashley Singleton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Allott in the 76th minute of the match. Kenny Speight received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Den Watson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Warren Allott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kilburn, Westbourne Park's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Warren Allott 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Thirsk's Warren Allott got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kilburn, Westbourne Park's Ashley Singleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Allott in the 92nd minute of play. Thirsk's Warren Allott got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Warren Allott was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Spike Clough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thirsk's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
