Dominik Hunter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Universe. Dion Cross's late challenge caught a Black Universe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After taking down the ball on Black Universe's corner Lenny Halliday fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dominik Hunter quite easily take care of the ball. When Lenny Halliday came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Black Universe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lenny Halliday couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Towler in the 30th minute of play forced Manchester Devils's goalkeeper Dominik Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominik Hunter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Lenny Halliday shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Hunter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luke Faith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bart Lappin in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derek Atkinson saved Black Universe from getting behind. Manchester Devils's Dominik Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Towler in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester Devils's zone, Lenny Halliday stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominik Hunter came out of the goal and Lenny Halliday tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dominik Hunter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Glenn Towler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 79 minute of play. Alexander Weeks charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Weeks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Manchester Devils booed when Black Universe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Weeks didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Kris Cornforth kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dominik Hunter. That made the score 2-2 in the 85 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Alexander Weeks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Universe's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Weeks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominik Hunter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Lenny Halliday could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Dominik Hunter however easily saved by the left post. Kris Cornforth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Hunter having to interfere. Black Universe's Derek Atkinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Lappin in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
