Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Timperley United from getting a goal against them. In the 5th minute Johnnie Swinscoe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Carey-Bertram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Cross hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. When Quentin Bland came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the The Glass Cannon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quentin Bland couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram got control of the ball when Vince Craven tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Johnnie Swinscoe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Steven Carey-Bertram, 1-0. After 13 played minutes Timperley United got a freekick which was hit by Jack Noble. In the 14th minute, The Glass Cannon's Quentin Bland ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Steven Carey-Bertram. Steven Carey-Bertram yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 17th match minute, Timperley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ty Challis to maneuver through the defense. If Martyn Rooney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vince Craven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vince Craven in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Steven Carey-Bertram, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ruben Brighton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Carey-Bertram having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Vince Craven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Glass Cannon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vince Craven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Leon Cross hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Vince Craven came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the The Glass Cannon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vince Craven couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vince Craven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Steven Carey-Bertram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnnie Swinscoe, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Steven Carey-Bertram came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by The Glass Cannon's Johnnie Swinscoe. But to his dismay, Johnnie Swinscoe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 59 minutes into the game, Vince Craven cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Steven Carey-Bertram was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vince Craven in the 62nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Timperley United's zone, Johnnie Swinscoe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steven Carey-Bertram came out of the goal and Johnnie Swinscoe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnnie Swinscoe in the 65th minute of play forced Timperley United's goalkeeper Steven Carey-Bertram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, The Glass Cannon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Rooney to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruben Brighton in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steven Carey-Bertram prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute, Leon Cross hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Cross got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 75th match minute, Timperley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Cross to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Ruben Brighton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Carey-Bertram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Brighton in the 78th minute of play. Johnnie Swinscoe might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steven Carey-Bertram. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johnnie Swinscoe ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 82nd minute, Ruben Brighton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Timperley United defense, Vince Craven kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steven Carey-Bertram. The Timperley United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steven Carey-Bertram should have stopped the shot. Steven Carey-Bertram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Craven in the 89th minute of play. Vince Craven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Steven Carey-Bertram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnnie Swinscoe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Carey-Bertram having to interfere. Steven Carey-Bertram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martyn Rooney in the 93rd minute of the match. The Glass Cannon's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
