Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute, Robert Ridgeway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reuben Cornish took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joseph Mortimer. Wooler's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 8 minutes in the game, Aaron Tomkins fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marty Newbury having to interfere. Glenn Sollit could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Marty Newbury made a huge save. Barnham's Marty Newbury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Tomkins in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Bedford in the 14th minute of play forced Wooler's goalkeeper Joseph Mortimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joseph Mortimer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sid Bedford went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Marty Newbury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Tomkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Joseph Mortimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harvey Hill in the 21st minute of play. Wooler's Glenn Sollit came free and shot a quick shot against goal 23 minutes in the game, fortunately Marty Newbury had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Aaron Tomkins put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marty Newbury. In the 34th minute, Sean Millman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barnham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After 38 minutes of play, Barnham's Harvey Hill made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Mortimer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joseph Mortimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reuben Cornish in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Barnham's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Tomkins came free, but Marty Newbury reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reuben Cornish scored 1-5 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joseph Mortimer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glenn Sollit to make the kick off. Wooler's Joseph Mortimer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Bedford in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, one of Wooler:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wooler. 57 minutes into the match, Wooler's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey Hill came free, but Joseph Mortimer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Sid Bedford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Mortimer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joseph Mortimer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reuben Cornish, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Sollit in the 61st minute of play forced Barnham's goalkeeper Marty Newbury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glenn Sollit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barnham's Marty Newbury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Reid in the 68th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Barnham's Sid Bedford slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joseph Mortimer. That made the score 1-7 after 71 minutes of play. Sean Millman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joseph Mortimer came out and tried to block the shot, but Sean Millman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 75th minute. Sean Millman took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Mortimer. Joseph Mortimer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-9. After a defensive mix-up in Wooler's zone, Sid Bedford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph Mortimer came out of the goal and Sid Bedford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Reuben Cornish ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joseph Mortimer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-10. In the 87th minute, Barnham's Sid Bedford ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joseph Mortimer. Joseph Mortimer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-11. Joseph Mortimer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reuben Cornish, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Sean Millman could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Joseph Mortimer however easily saved by the left post. Barnham's Marty Newbury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Sollit in the 95th minute of play. Harvey Hill's late challenge caught a Wooler's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harvey Hill helped the player get up and apologised. After 98 played minutes Barnham got a freekick which was hit by Harvey Hill. Marty Newbury showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Tomkins in the 99th minute of the match.
