Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Blair Speight took the kick off in the first half of the match. Blair Speight received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Rex Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Zyerpaus booed when Lindfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trey Shipley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blair Speight struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Rex Brennan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zyerpaus. After a rather tough play, Lindfield's Lenny Stockley got a free kick in the 10th minute. Lindfield's Rex Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damon Gulliver in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Zyerpaus's goal looked a bit too open when Trey Shipley came free, but Jay Harris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kev Francis during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lindfield booed when Zyerpaus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kev Francis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Lindfield's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Gulliver came free, but Rex Brennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joey Reading recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jay Harris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keanu Postolan in the 22nd minute of the match. Jay Harris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Stockley, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Kev Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zyerpaus's supporters rose to their feet, but Kev Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rex Brennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damon Gulliver in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rex Brennan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With 33 minutes on the clock, Albert Swift commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 32nd minute, one of Zyerpaus:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zyerpaus. Rex Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joey Reading in the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Lindfield getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Keanu Postolan hit a great ball. Joey Reading struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rex Brennan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zyerpaus. With his leg Rex Brennan managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Zyerpaus's Kev Francis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joey Reading fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Brennan having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Keanu Postolan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kev Francis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rex Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rex Brennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair Speight, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blair Speight recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rex Brennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joey Reading in the 62nd minute of play. Zyerpaus's Joey Reading got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Zyerpaus's goal looked a bit too open when Keanu Postolan came free, but Jay Harris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trey Shipley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Jay Harris made a huge save. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lindfield's goalkeeper Rex Brennan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lindfield's Rex Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blair Speight in the 75th minute of play. Blair Speight might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rex Brennan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blair Speight ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Lindfield's zone, Blair Speight stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rex Brennan came out of the goal and Blair Speight tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rick Croyden charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rick Croyden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 90 minutes into the match, Blair Speight had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rex Brennan. Lindfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blair Speight was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Joey Reading came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Zyerpaus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joey Reading couldn't finish the play. After 94 played minutes Lindfield got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Stockley. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Rick Croyden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zyerpaus's supporters rose to their feet, but Rick Croyden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rex Brennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zyerpaus's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
