Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Staffy Terrier FC's Alex Zanardi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Alf Klint came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Staffy Terrier FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alf Klint couldn't finish the play. Alan Noble hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Wooler's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Zanardi came free, but Joseph Mortimer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Aaron Tomkins came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Wooler fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Tomkins couldn't finish the play. After 9 minutes of play, Staffy Terrier FC's Clive Holloway made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Mortimer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zack Sutcliffe charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zack Sutcliffe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Wooler was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zack Sutcliffe to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Staffy Terrier FC's Pepe Guardiola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joseph Mortimer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andrew Harrison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Tomkins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clive Holloway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute Aaron Tomkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Harrison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Staffy Terrier FC's Andrew Harrison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Tomkins in the 23rd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Clive Holloway had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joseph Mortimer. Wooler's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clive Holloway was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Alf Klint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Staffy Terrier FC got a freekick which was hit by Grant Black. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grant Black during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Wooler booed when Staffy Terrier FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Black didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glenn Sollit to make the kick off. If Clive Holloway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Wooler defense, Clive Holloway kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joseph Mortimer. The Wooler fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joseph Mortimer should have stopped the shot. After having played for 65 minutes, Clive Holloway managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Staffy Terrier FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clive Holloway was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes in the game Robert Ridgeway did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Aaron Tomkins. Wooler's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Clive Holloway scored to the left of an out of position Joseph Mortimer, making the score, 0-4. Staffy Terrier FC's Clive Holloway got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Wooler fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Staffy Terrier FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
