Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Glenn Sollit started the match with the kick off. Joseph Mortimer was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Reuben Cornish capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reuben Cornish really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Milnrow Uni's Lenny Vaughn got a free kick in the 8th minute. Sean Millman kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Wooler defense, Sid Bedford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joseph Mortimer. The Wooler fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joseph Mortimer should have stopped the shot. Joseph Mortimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reuben Cornish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Aaron Tomkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Newbury saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match, Sid Bedford tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joseph Mortimer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Reuben Cornish could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Joseph Mortimer made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Reuben Cornish had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joseph Mortimer. Wooler's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reuben Cornish was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Harvey Hill came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joseph Mortimer could save by the left post. 28 minutes into the match, Reuben Cornish dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joseph Mortimer, 4-0. In the 32nd minute, Sean Millman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joseph Mortimer was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Bedford in the 35th minute of play forced Wooler's goalkeeper Joseph Mortimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harvey Hill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Joseph Mortimer made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Wooler's Glenn Sollit got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st play minute Sean Millman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joseph Mortimer. 6-0. Wooler's Joseph Mortimer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Bedford in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sean Millman was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Wooler got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Tomkins. 52 minutes into the match, Wooler's goal looked a bit too open when Reuben Cornish came free, but Joseph Mortimer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Millman struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Joseph Mortimer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milnrow Uni. Joseph Mortimer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben Cornish in the 54th minute of the match. Joseph Mortimer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reuben Cornish went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 59 minutes of play, Milnrow Uni's Reuben Cornish made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Mortimer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute, Sean Millman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joseph Mortimer was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. In the 65th minute, Harvey Hill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joseph Mortimer was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Sean Millman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Wooler got a freekick which was hit by Ben Longden. Reuben Cornish took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Mortimer. Joseph Mortimer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Millman in the 78th minute of play forced Wooler's goalkeeper Joseph Mortimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reuben Cornish took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Mortimer. Joseph Mortimer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 13-0. Joseph Mortimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Whitmore in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Milnrow Uni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reuben Cornish to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the match, Wooler's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey Hill came free, but Joseph Mortimer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Bedford in the 94th minute of play forced Wooler's goalkeeper Joseph Mortimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Reuben Cornish left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Milnrow Uni fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 15-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Milnrow Uni fully deserved thier win.
