Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sutton Valence FC's Patrick Laurie started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bart Godsall got in the 3rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jack Norton handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Barrie Jobling succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 6th playminute. Tyler Cusack hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Barrie Jobling scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jack Norton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barrie Jobling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jack Norton having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Cressage City's Bart Godsall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jack Norton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sutton Valence FC's goalkeeper Jack Norton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jack Norton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bart Godsall in the 30th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Sean Hislop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bobby Evans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger Clarke charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Clarke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Sutton Valence FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cressage City:s goal. Jack Norton had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Stevie Waller's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Bart Godsall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bart Godsall received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jack Norton came out and tried to block the shot, but Bart Godsall slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bart Godsall to make the kick off. Peter Lock hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jack Norton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barrie Jobling, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Barrie Jobling kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Barrie Jobling scored 5-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jack Norton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barrie Jobling might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jack Norton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barrie Jobling ran back to his position shaking his head. Sutton Valence FC's Jack Norton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Godsall in the 76th minute of play. Jack Norton came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Cressage City's Barrie Jobling. But to his dismay, Barrie Jobling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. If Patrick Laurie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jack Norton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barrie Jobling in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart Godsall in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jack Norton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jack Norton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Godsall, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Barrie Jobling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Sutton Valence FC defense, Barrie Jobling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jack Norton. The Sutton Valence FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jack Norton should have stopped the shot. Cressage City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
