The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Notley got free with Ruben Lynam in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Notley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Lynam having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Simon Notley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruben Lynam. Yarmouth Celtic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simon Notley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 41 minutes into the match, Yarmouth Celtic's goalkeeper Ruben Lynam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Notley. Simon Notleys short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Ruben Lynam to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Simon Notley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ruben Lynam made a huge save. Mike Goacher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ruben Lynam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Notley was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Lynam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Sheffield Wednesday F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. But to his dismay, Simon Notley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Simon Notley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheffield Wednesday F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Notley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Lynam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yarmouth Celtic's Ruben Lynam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Notley in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Yarmouth Celtic's zone, Larry Hold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Lynam came out of the goal and Larry Hold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruben Lynam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Notley in the 83rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Simon Notley put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ruben Lynam.
