Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Thom Falkingham got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Conal Gray ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gwyn Powell was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 6 minutes into the game, Thom Falkingham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Star Albion FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ambleside the free kick. After a rather tough play, Red Star Albion FC's Thom Falkingham got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 8 minutes, Tod Rawlings mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Star Albion FC and the Ambleside players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Red Star Albion FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tod Rawlings hit a great ball. Gwyn Powell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conal Gray in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Red Star Albion FC's goalkeeper Gwyn Powell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Carey-Bertram. The crowd rose to their feet as Ambleside's Conal Gray slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gwyn Powell. That made the score 2-0 after 12 minutes of play. 14 minutes into the match, Red Star Albion FC's goalkeeper Gwyn Powell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Carey-Bertram. Jack Carey-Bertram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gwyn Powell having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Ambleside's Ryan Mawson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gwyn Powell. Gwyn Powell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Benjamin Moss hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Ryan Mawson kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Red Star Albion FC's Gwyn Powell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Patterson in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Ryan Mawson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Powell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tod Rawlings had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Red Star Albion FC got a freekick which was hit by Syd Love. Gwyn Powell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jack Carey-Bertram in the 38th minute. Ryan Mawson kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Red Star Albion FC's Gwyn Powell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Red Star Albion FC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conal Gray to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Jack Carey-Bertram left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ambleside fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Gwyn Powell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Carey-Bertram, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute Damian Patterson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Powell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwyn Powell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Carey-Bertram, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the game, Ambleside's Jack Carey-Bertram nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gwyn Powell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Paddy Mann charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paddy Mann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 80 minutes into the match, Thom Falkingham had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shane Ruddock. Ambleside's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thom Falkingham was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. After a rather tough play, Red Star Albion FC's Paddy Mann got a free kick in the 84th minute. Jack Carey-Bertram struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Gwyn Powell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ambleside. Shane Ruddock made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Tod Rawlings sent off a good shot on target. Ambleside's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
