Carl Budden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chesney Stonehouse in the 2nd minute. 6 minutes into the match, Hextable United's goalkeeper Carl Budden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeffrey Colley. After 10 minutes, Rueben Rockey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evolution and the Hextable United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 played minutes Evolution got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Rockey. If Chesney Stonehouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 16 minutes, Jeffrey Colley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Evolution's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeffrey Colley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 18 in the game by Jeffrey Colley from a close distance when the talented Carl Budden managed to make a qualified save. Hextable United's players were relieved. Jeffrey Colley who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Carl Budden when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 24 played minutes Hextable United got a freekick which was hit by Craig Snowden. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Chesney Stonehouse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evolution's supporters rose to their feet, but Chesney Stonehouse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Budden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dean Atkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeffrey Colley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Carl Budden made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeffrey Colley in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Budden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chesney Stonehouse in the 44th minute of play forced Hextable United's goalkeeper Carl Budden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant Rooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Atkins in the 46th minute of play. Lloyd Summerfield charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lloyd Summerfield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lloyd Summerfield kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Jeffrey Colley made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Jeffrey Colley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Evolution's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeffrey Colley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Craig Snowden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Grant Rooney made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Blackwater during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Evolution:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hextable United:s goal. After a rather tough play, Evolution's Kelvin Amos got a free kick in the 65th minute. Jeffrey Colley struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Carl Budden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Evolution. In the 69th match minute, Hextable United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyler Cahill to maneuver through the defense. When Kelvin Amos came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Evolution fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kelvin Amos couldn't finish the play. If Rowan Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeffrey Colley struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Carl Budden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Evolution. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeffrey Colley in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carl Budden saved Hextable United from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Hextable United's zone, Jeffrey Colley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Budden came out of the goal and Jeffrey Colley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Jeffrey Colley put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carl Budden. In the 89th minute, Devon Bassett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeffrey Colley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Budden having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeffrey Colley in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Budden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carl Budden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chesney Stonehouse, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Evolution had played much better football throughout.
