Spectators: 7988 (Terracing: 5992, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Devon Bale kicked off to start the match. Surbiton 17's Richard Purvis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Lincoln in the 5th minute of play. Leigh Jewson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billy Nelson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Dom Middlewood lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Billy Nelson. Damian Lincoln received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Richard Purvis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Purvis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Moyle in the 16th minute of the match. Richard Purvis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Hedges in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute John Moyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Purvis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Surbiton 17 got a freekick which was hit by Stuart Sharples. When Fiselistic FootballClub's Sammy Hedges in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Surbiton 17's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Hedges in the 25th minute of play forced Surbiton 17's goalkeeper Richard Purvis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When John Moyle came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Fiselistic FootballClub fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Moyle couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fiselistic FootballClub's zone, Dom Middlewood stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billy Nelson came out of the goal and Dom Middlewood tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Devon Bale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Purvis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Moyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Stuart Sharples struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Billy Nelson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Surbiton 17. Billy Nelson made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Leigh Jewson sent off a good shot on target. Richard Purvis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Lincoln, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Richard Purvis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Hedges in the 51st minute of play. Richard Purvis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Lincoln in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leigh Jewson in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Billy Nelson saved Fiselistic FootballClub from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Fiselistic FootballClub's goal looked a bit too open when Dom Middlewood came free, but Billy Nelson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 62 minutes of play, Surbiton 17's Devon Bale made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Billy Nelson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Damian Lincoln could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Richard Purvis made a huge save. Richard Purvis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but John Moyle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 67 minute of play. Surbiton 17's Richard Purvis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Surbiton 17 from getting a goal against them. Leigh Jewson kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Leigh Jewson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fiselistic FootballClub's Billy Nelson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leigh Jewson in the 76th minute of play. After 79 played minutes, Fiselistic FootballClub's Rufus Elwick shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richard Purvis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fiselistic FootballClub reached it. Leigh Jewson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Nelson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Moyle got free with Richard Purvis in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 91 minutes into the match, Surbiton 17's goalkeeper Richard Purvis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Lincoln. Dom Middlewood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
