Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dean Atkins got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Hextable United booed when Ninfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liam Meehan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ninfield's Freddie Meehan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Atkins in the 5th minute of play. Mickey Ashton scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carl Budden, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Carl Budden managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Ninfield's Mickey Ashton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 13 played minutes Gordon Wellings rounded Hextable United's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Mickey Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carl Budden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Wellings, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Mickey Ashton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Budden having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gordon Wellings made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Gordon Wellings made a precise shot to the right of Carl Budden. Hextable United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Liam Meehan during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Devon Bassett got free with Freddie Meehan in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot by Pete Vaughn from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Freddie Meehan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Carl Budden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Wellings in the 63rd minute of play. After 75 played minutes, Ninfield's Les Mudd shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carl Budden came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ninfield reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Gordon Wellings managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ninfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Gordon Wellings was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Budden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mickey Ashton in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carl Budden saved Hextable United from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mickey Ashton in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Budden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ninfield's Freddie Meehan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyler Cahill in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Wellings in the 91st minute of play forced Hextable United's goalkeeper Carl Budden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Hextable United's Ethan French got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 95 played minutes Ninfield got a freekick which was hit by Les Mudd.
