After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Tyler Cahill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hextable United's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyler Cahill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddie Meehan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mickey Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ninfield's Freddie Meehan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Ninfield from getting a goal against them. After 30 played minutes, Hextable United's Ethan French shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Freddie Meehan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hextable United reached it. Craig Snowden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Freddie Meehan made a huge save. 33 minutes into the game, Devon Bassett recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Freddie Meehan. Devon Bassett showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 47th match minute, Hextable United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ethan French to maneuver through the defense. Ritchie Bator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Carl Budden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Hextable United's zone, Stew Coton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Budden came out of the goal and Stew Coton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rueben Gardener sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute of the match Nicky Whitmore sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddie Meehan skillfully saved the ball. Dean Atkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Freddie Meehan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ninfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dean Atkins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Carl Budden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ritchie Bator in the 71st minute of the match. If Mickey Ashton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ninfield's Ritchie Bator got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Ritchie Bator off the ground. The supporters of Hextable United booed when Ninfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ritchie Bator didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Craig Snowden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Meehan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Hextable United were victorious despite being under pressure from Ninfield for much of the match.
