Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute CJ Dry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Ramsden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute of the match Toby Longley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Ramsden showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Whitechapel's Ivan Weedon got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Southall's goal looked a bit too open when Gez Stockdale came free, but Vance Hindmarsh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Whitechapel's Michael Ramsden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calum Denham in the 13th minute of play. Johnny Brooks hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Calum Denham kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Michael Ramsden. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gez Stockdale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whitechapel's supporters rose to their feet, but Gez Stockdale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vance Hindmarsh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calum Denham in the 33rd minute of play forced Whitechapel's goalkeeper Michael Ramsden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Whitechapel's goalkeeper Michael Ramsden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by CJ Dry. Michael Ramsden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Lydiate in the 40th minute of play. When Junior Davenport fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitechapel's protests and gave Junior Davenport a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Whitechapel got a freekick which was hit by Junior Davenport. CJ Dry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Michael Ramsden made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Weedon to make the kick off. Noel Nicoll hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Whitechapel's Junior Davenport broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Weedon in the 55th minute of play forced Southall's goalkeeper Vance Hindmarsh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Southall getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Johnny Brooks hit a great ball. After 58 played minutes Southall got a freekick which was hit by Garry Martin. Michael Ramsden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calum Denham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, CJ Dry notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Whitechapel's Michael Ramsden. Michael Ramsden was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calum Denham in the 69th minute of play forced Whitechapel's goalkeeper Michael Ramsden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vance Hindmarsh made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Gez Stockdale sent off a good shot on target. If Gez Stockdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Southall's Al Barber got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Al Barber sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Ramsden skillfully saved the ball. When Southall's CJ Dry in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Whitechapel's goalie prevented a goal. After 83 minutes, Garry Burns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Whitechapel and the Southall players grew even worse after the yellow card. Whitechapel's Garry Burns got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Garry Burns off the ground. 97 minutes into the game, one of Whitechapel:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Many of Whitechapel's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Whitechapel may have spent more time on the ball, but Southall were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
