After 17 minutes, Damion Talbot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Warriors and the FC Green Forest players grew even worse after the yellow card. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Warriors booed when FC Green Forest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickey Floyd didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Green Forest's Ivan Longden got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 43rd minute, Damion Talbot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charlie Blythe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 46 minutes into the game, Atalay Fidan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Charlie Blythe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atalay Fidan was the one to do the kick off. Warriors's Leroy Easter got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, FC Green Forest's goal looked a bit too open when Quint Verlengia came free, but Charlie Blythe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quentin Byrne struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Mick Thomson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Green Forest. If Zack Bannatyne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute, Damion Talbot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Warriors's Mick Thomson got control of the ball when Quentin Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mick Thomson made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Zack Bannatyne sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Warriors booed when FC Green Forest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rio Spencer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Leroy Easter made a precise shot to the right of Charlie Blythe. FC Green Forest's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Mick Thomson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quentin Byrne in the 79th minute of the match. Quentin Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the game, FC Green Forest's Quentin Byrne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mick Thomson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Sammy Holmes charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sammy Holmes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. It was joyful for the audience to see Ivan Longden dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 97th played minute and put the ball into the net. 4-2. FC Green Forest's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Warriors had won, even though FC Green Forest had held more of the ball.
