St Annes on Sea's Christopher Gamble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jake Dennison in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Bolton in the 11th minute of play forced La Cicloneta's goalkeeper Pat Lindley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sean Boston kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Danny Duckworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. St Annes on Sea's supporters rose to their feet, but Danny Duckworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pat Lindley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd match minute, La Cicloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Prior to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, La Cicloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Bolton came free, but Pat Lindley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Jake Dennison fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 31st match minute, St Annes on Sea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barrie Robinson to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, La Cicloneta's Jake Dennison ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christopher Gamble. Christopher Gamble yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. St Annes on Sea's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Josh Ashworth scored to the left of an out of position Christopher Gamble, making the score, 2-0. La Cicloneta's Jake Dennison got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Josh Ashworth made the kick off in the second half. St Annes on Sea's Christopher Gamble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jake Dennison in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute Danny Duckworth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Lindley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Cicloneta's Josh Ashworth got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christopher Gamble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daryl Bullard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Cicloneta's Jake Dennison suffered a sore knee after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 77 minutes, Bobby Sawyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St Annes on Sea and the La Cicloneta players grew even worse after the yellow card. La Cicloneta made a substitution. Robert Philpott replaced Jake Dennison. The referee gave La Cicloneta a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tom Kemp, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of St Annes on Sea's Christopher Gamble. 3-0. Christopher Gamble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daryl Bullard in the 87th minute of the match. Christopher Gamble took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Philpott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Daryl Bullard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christopher Gamble. St Annes on Sea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daryl Bullard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. La Cicloneta had played much better football throughout.
