Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alf Garner-Currie started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Rod Knowles charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rod Knowles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Reigate FC got a freekick which was hit by Rod Knowles. In the 4th minute, Marek Coote got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reigate FC's Alf Garner-Currie got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Husbands's goalkeeper Charles Hurst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clive Browne. When Sid Hanson came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Husbands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Hanson couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Reigate FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Lewis Dunne hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Reigate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Ignazio came free, but Adrian Dexter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Reigate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clive Browne to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes of play, Husbands's Aaron Wallbank made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adrian Dexter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Charles Hurst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Peakman, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Adrian Dexter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Wallbank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Husbands fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Husbands's Mathias Terpstra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 37thth minute of the game Mathias Terpstra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reigate FC's Adrian Dexter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erubiel Ignazio struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Adrian Dexter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Husbands. The supporters of Husbands booed when Reigate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garth Peakman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Reigate FC's zone, Erubiel Ignazio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Dexter came out of the goal and Erubiel Ignazio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aaron Wallbank to make the kick off. If Sid Hanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clive Browne scored 1-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Hurst, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aaron Wallbank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Husbands's Aaron Wallbank slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adrian Dexter. That made the score 1-3 after 75 minutes of play. Adrian Dexter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias Terpstra in the 81st minute. In the 81st match minute, Reigate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Peakman to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes Reigate FC got a freekick which was hit by Dylon Pollard. 1-4 came in the 88th minute when Dylon Beswetherick all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Adrian Dexter. Rod Knowles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Charles Hurst tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 97 minutes, Dylon Beswetherick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Husbands and the Reigate FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 97 played minutes Husbands got a freekick which was hit by Dylon Beswetherick. The Reigate FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Husbands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
