In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Purple Cobras's goalkeeper Bill Kay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Team Pogba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benno Bonk to maneuver through the defense. Purple Cobras's Bill Kay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mickey Hammett in the 11th minute of play. Alfred Steed kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Mickey Hammett scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bill Kay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Purple Cobras's zone, Mickey Hammett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Kay came out of the goal and Mickey Hammett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Purple Cobras's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Estefan came free, but Bill Kay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Gavan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Mickey Hammett put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bill Kay. Piers Harris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Folwill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30th play minutes Mickey Hammett shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Bill Kay and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the Purple Cobras defense, Mickey Hammett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bill Kay. The Purple Cobras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bill Kay should have stopped the shot. After 36 played minutes Team Pogba got a freekick which was hit by Andre Ridgeway. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Mickey Hammett sped through Purple Cobras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bill Kay. In the 46th minute, Max Budge made a precise shot to the right of Bill Kay. Purple Cobras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8.

Team Pogba made a substitution. Geoff Monk replaced Andre Ridgeway. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martin Folwill was the one to do the kick off. Bill Kay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Owen Martin, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After having played for 54 minutes, Geoff Monk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team Pogba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geoff Monk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Max Budge received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bill Kay came out and tried to block the shot, but Max Budge slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 58th minute. Owen Martin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Bill Kay skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Geoff Monk scored 0-11 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bill Kay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bill Kay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-13. Owen Martin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Bill Kay skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Owen Martins short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Bill Kay to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Richard Gavan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Kay having to interfere. With his leg Bill Kay managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Team Pogba's Owen Martin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Max Budge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Kay having to interfere. Bill Kay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Owen Martin's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Team Pogba's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
