An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Tisdale in the 8th minute of play forced Purple Cobras's goalkeeper Bill Kay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bill Kay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Malpeli in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Purple Cobras's Camron Roberts got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Purple Cobras's Johnny Attwood made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rueben Laycock was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Lee Tisdale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bill Kay was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Sean Barr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Adam Law could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Bill Kay however easily saved by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lee Tisdale in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bill Kay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rueben Laycock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Attwood in the 31st minute of play. When Bart Brazier fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester utd's protests and gave Bart Brazier a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Manchester utd got a freekick which was hit by Bart Brazier. If Lee Tisdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bill Kay stood somewhat misplaced when Adam Law came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 39 minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Adam Law managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Law was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Purple Cobras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 90thth minute of the game Adam Law who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Purple Cobras's Bill Kay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Adam Law cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Bill Kay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bill Kay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Tisdale, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. There was no doubt that Manchester utd were the better team. Manchester utd's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
