With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mickey Hammett in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Hurst saved Husbands from getting behind. Husbands's Charles Hurst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Husbands from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the game, Team Pogba - Back soon's Max Budge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charles Hurst made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Mickey Hammett took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Hurst. Charles Hurst dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 41st minute Team Pogba - Back soon were awarded a corner. Amad Traore went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Geoff Monk heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Team Pogba - Back soon's Geoff Monk in 41 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Charles Hurst guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Geoff Monk put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Charles Hurst. Max Budge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Charles Hurst made a huge save. Charles Hurst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickey Hammett in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mickey Hammett to make the kick off. Charles Hurst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Hammett in the 51st minute of play. Husbands's Charles Hurst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Budge in the 57th minute of play. When Richard Gavan came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Team Pogba - Back soon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Gavan couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Max Budge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charles Hurst was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. 83 minutes into the match, Husbands's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Martin came free, but Charles Hurst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
