After 12 played minutes, Marmarisspor's Alfie Fielden shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Philip Kendall came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marmarisspor reached it. Quentin Renner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Penescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blackburn United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alec Timiney in the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Blackburn United booed when Marmarisspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 59 minutes, Phillip Talbot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marmarisspor and the Blackburn United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Blackburn United a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. Marmarisspor were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
