Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ollie Stockdale kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tristan Burns got free with Vince Piercy in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tristan Burns in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vince Piercy, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Great Staug's Vince Piercy got control of the ball when Tristan Burns tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryan Dodd in the 7th minute of play forced Great Staug's goalkeeper Vince Piercy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ollie Stockdale in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rowan Golding saved London Athletic from getting behind. Great Staug's Vince Piercy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Dodd in the 11th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Tristan Burns could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Vince Piercy however easily saved by the left post. 23 minutes into the match, London Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Ollie Stockdale came free, but Rowan Golding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vince Piercy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Dodd, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Reggie Couzens's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vince Piercy firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rowan Golding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ollie Stockdale in the 34th minute of the match. When Alistair Duff fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored London Athletic's protests and gave Alistair Duff a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Great Staug booed when London Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alistair Duff didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Ollie Stockdale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Great Staug's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ollie Stockdale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ollie Stockdale in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rowan Golding prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stuart Welch hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The supporters of London Athletic booed when Great Staug was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dom Miller didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th match minute, Great Staug was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Slade to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bryan Dodd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Great Staug's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Dodd came free, but Vince Piercy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vince Piercy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Dodd in the 54th minute of play. Vince Piercy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Burns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Sykes in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vince Piercy saved Great Staug from getting behind. Great Staug's Vince Piercy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Dodd in the 65th minute of play. Neil Slade struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Rowan Golding didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Great Staug. Neil Slade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vince Piercy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reggie Couzens in the 83rd minute of play. Bryan Dodd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Great Staug's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Dodd came free, but Vince Piercy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Great Staug's Stuart Welch got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The London Athletic fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Great Staug were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
