Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Louis Welsh kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vernon Rushmere during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Quentin Parkin fired a really elegant long shot, but Kris Patten threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 13th minute Louis Welsh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Patten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricky Dunning's late challenge caught a Wombwell United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricky Dunning helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Trinidad getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ricky Dunning hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Kris Patten successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 25 minutes into the match, Trinidad's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Reddington came free, but Ivan England reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Louis Welsh struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Kris Patten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trinidad. Kris Patten acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Quentin Parkin. After having played for 34 minutes, Leigh Fayle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trinidad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leigh Fayle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Trinidad getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Leigh Fayle hit a great ball. In the 40th match minute, Trinidad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Bryden to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes, Jerry Knight-Percival mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wombwell United and the Trinidad players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronny Reddington was the one to do the kick off. Ronny Reddington who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Ivan England when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tony Mawson kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Ronny Reddington notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Trinidad's Ivan England. Ivan England was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kris Blueman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ivan England tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Wombwell United's Ronny Reddington slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan England. That made the score 0-2 after 79 minutes of play. In the 82nd match minute, Wombwell United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vernon Rushmere to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the match Philip Bryden sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kris Patten skillfully saved the ball. John Sutton hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Philip Bryden took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kris Patten. Wombwell United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Quentin Parkin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kris Patten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wombwell United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
