Spectators: 7904 (Terracing: 5973, Seating: 1831, VIP seats: 100) An unexpectedly hard shot by Nial Crittenden in the 6th minute of play forced THFC Youth Academy's goalkeeper Kevin Tonkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greg Morgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Kevin Tonkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, THFC Youth Academy's Alexander Bolton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 19th minute, Kenny Blackhurst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corby's Felix Wardle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stuart Osbourn in the 23rd minute of play. Felix Wardle came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by THFC Youth Academy's Stuart Osbourn. But to his dismay, Stuart Osbourn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Nial Crittenden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevin Tonkin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Nial Crittenden took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Tonkin. Kevin Tonkin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind THFC Youth Academy's goalkeeper Kevin Tonkin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Corby's goalkeeper Felix Wardle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rupert Courtney. Nial Crittenden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kevin Tonkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Tonkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Morgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Greg Morgan made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ken Preece hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Wardle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Courtney, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, THFC Youth Academy's goalkeeper Kevin Tonkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nial Crittenden. THFC Youth Academy's Kevin Tonkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Morgan in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Rupert Courtney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Wardle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stuart Osbourn in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Wardle saved Corby from getting behind. Kevin Tonkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Morgan in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, THFC Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Morgan came free, but Kevin Tonkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Bolton hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Alex Blower hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, THFC Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupert Courtney to maneuver through the defense. Greg Morgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Kevin Tonkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, THFC Youth Academy's Kevin Tonkin got control of the ball when Nial Crittenden tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute Rupert Courtney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Wardle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stuart Osbourn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Corby's Kenny Blackhurst seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kenny Blackhurst the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Corby protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kenny Blackhurst had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave THFC Youth Academy a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rod Gill, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Corby's Felix Wardle. 4-1. Stuart Osbourn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Felix Wardle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Rupert Courtney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Wardle was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. THFC Youth Academy's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
