Hugh Lonsdale started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh Lonsdale in the 3rd minute of play forced Longridge AFC's goalkeeper Tim Bullard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Longridge AFC's zone, Hugh Lonsdale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Bullard came out of the goal and Hugh Lonsdale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugh Lonsdale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Bullard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Tim Bullard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hugh Lonsdale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Superbad's Hugh Lonsdale got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hugh Lonsdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugh Lonsdale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Bullard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Grzegorz Bonin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Superbad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grzegorz Bonin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grzegorz Bonin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Tim Bullard made a huge save. Hugh Lonsdale might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tim Bullard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugh Lonsdale ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the match, Longridge AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugh Lonsdale came free, but Tim Bullard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hugh Lonsdale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute, Hugh Lonsdale made a precise shot to the right of Tim Bullard. Longridge AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Hugh Lonsdale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tim Bullard having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Stewart during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Superbad's Ralph Hargrave was substituted for Juli Rogozinskiy. 57 minutes into the game, one of Superbad:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Superbad:s Anthony Cawood showed great skill when he stopped Brandon Newman:s penalty. A collision led to Superbad getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Shane Hardy hit a great ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Brandon Newman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longridge AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brandon Newman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hugh Lonsdale came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Superbad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugh Lonsdale couldn't finish the play. In the 69th match minute, Longridge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Harrad to maneuver through the defense. The Superbad fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Superbad's Hugh Lonsdale looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hugh Lonsdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sammy Warden kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Hugh Lonsdale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tim Bullard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Hugh Lonsdale put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tim Bullard. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Longridge AFC's goalkeeper Tim Bullard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Longridge AFC's Dale Alderson got a free kick in the 96th minute.
