Thom Deighton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. George Green tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Runcorn's supporters rose to their feet, but Dane Beaver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jamie Dobson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, Dane Beaver notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Smallfield FC's Jamie Dobson. Jamie Dobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calvin Hardcastle during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Fraser Westlake made a precise shot to the right of Jamie Dobson.
