A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Cullompton United's Steve Crossman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Grant Butterfield. Grant Butterfield yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kristopher Dobson in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristopher Wrigley saved Cullompton United from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Leo Dearden got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Salisbury United's Grant Butterfield proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Salisbury United from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Jude Blakewell almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Salisbury United's Grant Butterfield did a great save. Kristopher Wrigley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Sharpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Tristan Monkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Dearden struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Salisbury United's goalkeeper Grant Butterfield, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cullompton United's Jude Blakewell got a free kick in the 71st minute. Kristopher Dobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristopher Wrigley having to interfere. Aaron Henwood's late challenge caught a Salisbury United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Henwood helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Kristopher Dobson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristopher Wrigley was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Cullompton United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Salisbury United for a fine match.
