Freddy Hurdle might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leroy Floyd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leroy Floyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Will Nelson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Woolton's Leroy Floyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis Milton in the 36th minute of play. During the 37th minute of the match Miles Gamble completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Miles Gamble a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Miles Gamble hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Hurdle to make the kick off. If Freddy Hurdle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Owen Wilberforce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Liam Bray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andre Cavanagh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Bray having to interfere. Woolton were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Blandford Forum for a fine match.
