Spectators: 8049 (Terracing: 6038, Seating: 1851, VIP seats: 160) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stan Penn got the match started through his kick off. Paybridge Celtic's Lewis Winstanley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Penn in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Shuttleworth in the 5th minute of play forced Paybridge Celtic's goalkeeper Lewis Winstanley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leroy Floyd came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Paybridge Celtic's Roy Dwyer. But to his dismay, Roy Dwyer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lewis Winstanley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Shuttleworth in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Paybridge Celtic getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Kris Shipperley hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Woolton's Lance MacDonald sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lewis Winstanley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paybridge Celtic's Lewis Winstanley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Penn in the 17th minute of play. Wesley Charles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Leroy Floyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stan Penn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Owen Wilberforce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Lewis Winstanley made a huge save. Hugh Ellerby kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Roy Dwyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hugh Ellerby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Woolton got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Shuttleworth. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wesley Charles made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Jacob Shuttleworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Paybridge Celtic defense, Owen Wilberforce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lewis Winstanley. The Paybridge Celtic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lewis Winstanley should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute Iain Steel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leroy Floyd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stan Penn in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lewis Winstanley saved Paybridge Celtic from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Shuttleworth in the 67th minute of play forced Paybridge Celtic's goalkeeper Lewis Winstanley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute of the match, Iain Steel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leroy Floyd saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Lance MacDonald fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woolton's protests and gave Lance MacDonald a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Woolton got a freekick which was hit by Lance MacDonald. Lewis Winstanley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Wilberforce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Paybridge Celtic getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Hugh Ellerby hit a great ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Lance MacDonald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woolton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lance MacDonald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 3-2 became the score in the 85th minute when Jacob Shuttleworth elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lewis Winstanley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Owen Wilberforce, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Owen Wilberforce in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lewis Winstanley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 96 played minutes Paybridge Celtic got a freekick which was hit by Hugh Ellerby. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Woolton had won after a very even match.
