Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Guy Wilson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Wareham's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. From close distance Justin Midson pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 10 minutes into the game. When Justin Midson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Wareham fans jumped to their feet. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Joshua Crossman advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 27th minute. Wigan's Warren Jenkinson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Wigan from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

But to his dismay, Guy Wilson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Justin Midson might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Warren Jenkinson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justin Midson ran back to his position shaking his head. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wareham had played much better football throughout.
