The referee ignored The Rifles's protests and gave Dale Titmuss a yellow card for diving instead. Oscar Heath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Elwick couldn't finish the play. Matthew Goodwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Harry Rowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, The Rifles's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Heath came free, but Harry Rowe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Heath blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry Rowe having to make a save. In the 35th minute, Matthew Goodwick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harry Rowe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Executive Crew getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Felix Pullen hit a great ball. Louie Sherwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Kempson in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Heath to strike the kick off in the second half. Executive Crew's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alan Thorn in the 52nd minute. After taking down the ball on Executive Crew's corner Alan Thorn fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Harry Rowe quite easily take care of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Liam Elwick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Louie Sherwood. Executive Crew's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liam Elwick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Executive Crew's Louie Sherwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connor Ronson in the 61st minute of play. Louie Sherwood came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by The Rifles's Dale Titmuss. But to his dismay, Dale Titmuss quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 68 minutes of play, The Rifles's Liam Elwick made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Louie Sherwood was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Oscar Heath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Louie Sherwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Elwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Matthew Goodwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Felix Pullen put in a rough tackle. In the 94th match minute, Executive Crew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Pullen to maneuver through the defense. Louie Sherwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Kempson in the 96th minute of the match. The Rifles's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
