One of Watton-at-Stone:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Blandford Forum:s goal. In the 32nd minute, Sean Chambers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Blandford Forum's Gerry Langford got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gordon Blake managed to get in a good position for a shot. Watton-at-Stone's supporters rose to their feet, but Gordon Blake was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Gardner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ryan Harper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marc Mayall in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Kris Winterbine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Gardner having to interfere. Lucas Allison hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Blandford Forum's Pedro Gardner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Winterbine in the 81st minute of play. Kris Winterbine might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Gardner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kris Winterbine ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Allison in the 86th minute of play forced Watton-at-Stone's goalkeeper Ryan Harper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Gardner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kris Winterbine went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Gordon Blake hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
