Spectators: 8523 (Terracing: 6393, Seating: 1960, VIP seats: 170) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tosh Higginson got the match started through his kick off. In the 12th minute Lance Eyre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Abeijon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Robson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Winship's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Ampthill FC's Bernardo Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence Corbridge in the 16th minute of play. Peter Robson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zane Woodhall in the 19th minute of the match. Hythe United Rangers's Peter Robson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Hythe United Rangers from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Winship in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Robson saved Hythe United Rangers from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Li Hai Yan got free with Peter Robson in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Li Hai Yan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peter Robson. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Hythe United Rangers's Peter Robson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Hythe United Rangers from getting a goal against them. After 29 played minutes Hythe United Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Dylan Crossley. Allan Winships short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Peter Robson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ampthill FC's Bernardo Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tosh Higginson in the 31st minute of play. Peter Robson came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Ampthill FC's Li Hai Yan. But to his dismay, Li Hai Yan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 38 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tosh Higginson came free, but Bernardo Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Winship who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Peter Robson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Winship to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Lawrence Corbridge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Abeijon was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Peter Robson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Li Hai Yan in the 52nd minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Allan Winship notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Hythe United Rangers's Peter Robson. Peter Robson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Hythe United Rangers getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Dylan Crossley hit a great ball. Peter Robson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Winship in the 68th minute of play. Hythe United Rangers's Lance Eyre got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Robson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zane Woodhall in the 74th minute of the match. Bernardo Abeijon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zak Crocker, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hythe United Rangers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ampthill FC.
