To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SEA THE STARS's Alfred Clough got control of the ball when Rory Downham tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Rory Downham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SEA THE STARS's Alfred Clough was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ashley Driver who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Alfred Clough when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Todd Nicholson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rory Downham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hilsea's John England proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Hilsea from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rory Downham in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Clough saved SEA THE STARS from getting behind. Rory Downham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Clough having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rory Downham in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Clough prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rory Downham in the 66th minute of play forced SEA THE STARS's goalkeeper Alfred Clough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rory Downham in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfred Clough prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfred Clough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Gray in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marlon Higginson got free with John England in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Orson Gamble hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SEA THE STARS's Alfred Clough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Driver in the 78th minute of play. If Rory Downham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Ken Bell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John England saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Spike Barton came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SEA THE STARS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Spike Barton couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Ashley Driver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfred Clough was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Alfred Clough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rory Downham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
