The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 6 in the game by Ashley Driver from a close distance when the talented Andre Champion managed to make a qualified save. Wadebridge's players were relieved. Wadebridge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Christopher Gray scored to the left of an out of position Andre Champion, making the score, 2-0. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Rory Downham got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 11 minutes into the match, Wadebridge's goalkeeper Andre Champion had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ashley Driver. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rory Downham in the 14th minute of play forced Wadebridge's goalkeeper Andre Champion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hilsea booed when Wadebridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Strickland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rory Downham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andre Champion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christopher Gray in the 22nd minute of the match. Wadebridge's Andre Champion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Wadebridge from getting a goal against them. Seth Sharples fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Champion having to interfere. Andre Champion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orson Gamble, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Christopher Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The long shot by Marc Nelthorpe in the 36th minute really tested Andre Champion's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Andre Champion came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Hilsea's Christopher Gray. But to his dismay, Christopher Gray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With a little luck, Wadebridge's Andre Champion got control of the ball when Ashley Driver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Andre Champion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kenny Dobson in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wadebridge's zone, Rory Downham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Champion came out of the goal and Rory Downham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rory Downham in the 45th minute of play forced Wadebridge's goalkeeper Andre Champion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lance Robertson was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Ashley Driver put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Andre Champion. Christopher Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andre Champion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Driver in the 63rd minute of the match. Wadebridge's Andre Champion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seth Sharples in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Rory Downham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hilsea fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Andre Champion came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hilsea's Ashley Driver. But to his dismay, Ashley Driver quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 76 minutes into the game, Kenny Dobson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Andre Champion was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Hilsea's Rory Downham in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wadebridge's goalie prevented a goal. After 85 minutes, Rory Downham made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Wadebridge's Andre Champion tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jake Baldwin fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wadebridge's protests and gave Jake Baldwin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Wadebridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jake Baldwin to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Rory Downham notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Wadebridge's Andre Champion. Andre Champion was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orson Gamble in the 94th minute of play forced Wadebridge's goalkeeper Andre Champion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andre Champion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 97 minutes into the game, Alfie Plummer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wadebridge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hilsea the free kick. In the 97th match minute, Wadebridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfie Plummer to maneuver through the defense. In the game's 98th minute Hilsea's Kenny Dobson took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Andre Champion and thus the score was 11-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hilsea had played much better football throughout.
